Day 1 - My Adventures in Glasgow!!! (21st July)

So my adventure as a clyde-sider in Glasgow begins!

At 10am I was picked up and taken to Birmingham Airport in a taxi ready for my 12.40pm flight to Glasgow International Airport!

After arriving in Glasgow, I took another taxi to my campsite at Cartha Rugby Club near Dumbreck! (My home for two weeks)

I settled into my tent and unpacked. Then after a bit of a rest, it was time to leave the campsite and head to Celtic Park to watch a dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony!

After a train journey to Glasgow Central Station and a bit of food, I took another train to Dalmarnock! Finally a little walk past the Emirates Arena (Venue for Badminton) and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome (Venue for Track Cycling), I arrived at Celtic Park (Home of Celtic Football Club). Along the way I passed my first Clyde Statue!

After taking my seat I watched the dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony (which takes place on Wednesday). They rehearsed the whole show and it was amazing! (They did leave some special treats out that were only going to be shown in real thing). Below are some pictures I took!

After a walk and two trains back to my campsite, I went to bed after a long first day in Glasgow!!!
