After having a lie in, today I was going to go do a bit more sightseeing in Glasgow! After some breakfast I took a bus from outside the campsite to Battlefield Road and then a walk to Hampden Park (To work out my route of the journey for my shift and to have a look around)!

Then I took a train back to Glasgow Central from Mount Florida! And went for a walk around the city taking in Sauchiehall Street before ending up at St Encoh Shopping Centre for some food!
After having some food I continued to walk around the city centre including getting some food supplies in a Sainsburys! At around 3.30pm I made my way back to the campsite to rest.
At around 7.00pm I went to the bar to watch the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. The atmosphere inside the bar was really good with lots of cheering and lots of involvement. (Like singing the national anthem). I was sitting next to a man (another volunteer) and we were talking the whole way through it and he was telling me lots of facts and interesting information. Overall I really liked the show from opening number right until the end. The funniest moment was when they couldn't open the baton but the right person was the last baton holder and saved the day. Watching the opening ceremony made me even more want to start my shifts and tomorrow was when they would start.
After the ceremony finished I went to bed and was exicted about starting my shifts tomorrow.
