Day 6 - My Adventures in Glasgow!!! (Exploring Day/Rest Day) (26th July)

After having a lie in, today I was going to go sightseeing in Glasgow! After some breakfast I took a train from Dumbreck to Glasgow Central Station!

I decide to walk along the river! So I set off walking down the river and had my picture taken with two Clyde statues! I continued walking until I got to the Clyde bridge! I walked across the bridge, pass the BBC Scotland Studios until I got to the Science Museum. I was planning on going to Science Museum but the queue was so long, I would have been standing in the queue longer than being in the museum. The same was for the free BBC at the Quay event!

So I walked back along the river and back to the city centre for some lunch! Along the walk I passed the SECC/SSE Hydro which hosted Boxing, Judo/Wrestling, Netball and Gymnastics and the Clyde Auditorium (The Armadillo) which hosted Weightlifting!

After having some lunch I had my picture with another Clyde statue and then went on the subway to Kelvin Hall.
I then walked to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and had a look around at national history, Scottish art, Ancient Egypt and much much more. I ever learnt that there was a real battle that took place in Battlefields Road, where I get off the bus when going to Hampden Park. (That how it got it's name).

Finally I had my picture taken with a Flora Clyde statue. On my way back to the Subway I passed UAC (where I picked up my uniform and acceradition) I got off the Subway at St Enoch. Finally after buying some food and a walk to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, I took the train back to the campsite.

In the evening I rested and had some food why watching the evening action on the television in the bar! Finally it was time for a bed after a long day.

Tomorrow is my third shift and first day at the athletics programme at Hampden Park!
